Day Thirty: 8/13/17

This morning we woke up and made our way to Yellowstone!

We were definitely excited to get out of the smoke of Montana.

After a couple hours of driving we crossed over to Wyoming into Yellowstone National Park.

Yellowstone is amazing! Unfortunately we did not get to see any wild life other than a few deer but the views were amazing!

We also got to see Old Faithful blow.

From Yellowstone we headed down to Jackson, Wyoming. We loved it here!

We walked town, ate, and relaxed.

Now on our way to Utah!

Day Twenty-nine: 8/12/17

Today we crossed the boarder from Canada to the US, bringing us to Montana!

To our surprise the smoke in Montana was insane from a number of forest fires.

Glacier National Park was actually not visible from any angle of the park…

We drove through the park but the smoke just kept getting worse. We were able to catch a few glimpses of wildlife and some waterfalls though.

Due to fires we were unable to take our time in Montana… so we hit the road and started making our way to Yellowstone National Park.

Day Twenty-eight: 8/11/17

Today we did a lot of driving. But in the morning we headed to Banff.

Banff was CRAZY BUSY! We tried to see Lake Louise but the traffic was horrible and it would have been tough to hike with Noah. So instead we just went into town.

The town was so cute! But it was also so busy it was difficult to get around anywhere.

Since we did not spend as much time here as we thought we were able to get a lot of driving done and head to Glacier National Park in Montana!

Day Twenty-seven: 8/10/17

Today we spent the morning driving to Jasper National Park!

We LOVED it here. It was so beautiful, we ended up spending the whole day here! It was also nice because it did not seem very busy at all.

On our way into the park we noticed that people were walking out to the middle of this lake. They literally looked like they were walking on water! So we thought we'd go test it out.

Noah absolutely loved being out there!

After walking on water we went into town to grab lunch and walk around a little.

As you can see Noah is a total big boy and eats his own kids meal and only feeds himself now!

Once we were done with lunch we headed to the lake. Maligne Lake was absolutely beautiful.

We were even able to rent a row boat!

Yes, Noah got so relaxed that he laid himself down and chilled for the row back to the dock.

After our row Noah and Isaiah got to play in the water and cool off.

At the end of the day we walked town again and had dinner at Jasper Brewing Co.

Now off to Banff!

Day Twenty-six: 8/9/17

Today was a great day!

First we got our oil changed then made our way to Watson Lake. Watson lake was awesome. We were able to sit, relax, and have lunch out by the water.

Noah ran around and had a blast with some of the other kids that were there.

After Watson Lake we decided to stop by the visitors center to look for a patch. Instead we found the Sign Post Forest! In the beginning of the trip I had read about this forest and I was so bummed that we weren't going to pass by it. BUT WE MADE IT THERE!

The story behind the Sign Post Forest was that when the workers were working here for a long time they got homesick so the nailed a sign from their hometown on a post pointing in the direction of "home" for them.

There are almost 85,000 Sign posted throughout the Sign Post Forest! And we were lucky enough to have found a license plate in Isaiah's truck! SO WE GOT TO HANG OUR OWN SIGN!

After we put our sign up we headed back on the road.

On our way we saw a sign for some hot springs! On the way to the hot springs we ran into a herd of buffalo crossing the road and grazing. It was awesome!

After running into the buffalo we thought we'd check out the hot springs and wow it was amazing!

Noah had an absolute blast and we got to relax!

After leaving the hot springs we made our way by Muncho Lake. This lake was beautiful!

We drove along this lake for a while, it was like driving up the coast.

After that we drove to Toad Campground. This campgrounds history is pretty funny: this was a place where they towed all the equipment from the highway to so they wanted to name it "Towed" but they didn't know how to spell it so it ended up being "Toad"! There are actual cabins still that were used by the workers of the Alcan.

Tomorrow we are hoping to finally make it to Jasper!

Day Twenty-five: 8/8/17

This morning we woke up and went to North Pole, Alaska! Here we were able to take Noah to Santa's House!

Inside the house felt totally like Christmas. Santa wasn't there but noah got to sit in Santa's chair!

After the North Pole we headed right to Whitehorse.

On the way we stopped at a gas station that offered a complimentary "hand car wash" when you fill up a tank of gas.

Noah had a blast helping his dad!

Tomorrow we are getting up early to get the truck an oil change and head more towards Jasper.

Day Twenty-four- 8/7/17

Today we started our trip up towards Fairbanks.
On our way we headed up towards Denali National Park! But on our way we made a pit stop in Talkeetna, Alaska.

Here is the home of Denali Brewing Co. on our way into town we stopped at the actual brew house.

Then we drove a couple more miles to the restaurant in Telkeetna.

After lunch we walked around the town and had a little fun with Noah!

After Telkeetna we made our way to Denali National Park!

Honestly, we couldn't even see it when we got there! We could see the mountain better from Anchorage than here. But hey, we got a pic in front of the sign!

From here we made our way to North Pole, Alaska and camped here so Noah can see Santa's House tomorrow morning!
